Welcome to our April newsletter, as we move into Autumn and enjoy the recent easing of Covid restrictions around the State. This easing was appreciated during the Australian F1 Grand Prix, with the buzz of face-to-face events and return of ICN’s traditional industry breakfasts at the racetrack.
This edition contains exciting opportunities for industry, including new Deakin University $10,000 vouchers designed for tech entrepreneurs, and SMEs will applaud the news that over 30 work packages are now open on ICN Gateway for the Spark - North East Link Project.
Importantly, ICN Victoria is currently working closely with the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions (DJPR) to educate businesses about the new Building Equality Policy, with a series of online and face-to-face events. Please keep an eye on your inbox for event updates to register to attend these informative sessions.
Here at ICN VIC we are working hard on our Regional Showcases, bringing our expertise and guest speakers to you in all five regions around Victoria - more news and dates will be shared the coming editions.
We also congratulate the successful tenderer of the Next Generations Tram contract – Alstom – who will build Melbourne’s 100 new accessible trams in their Dandenong facility. This project will support up to 1,900 local jobs in manufacturing and the supply chain. ICN Vic will bring you information on these work packages as they register.
Please enjoy reading about how you can gain access to projects and useful insights, and I look forward to staying connected with you.
